Delray Beach woman falls victim to home improvement scam by repeat offender
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A woman in Delray Beach says she hired someone to do work on our home just to find out it was all a scam.
Esther Fonseca says she contacted the owner of Amazon Kitchen and Flooring LLC back in April and met with the owner who said his name was Robert Gonzalez.
“He was very friendly he showed up with his laptop and he has a computer program to design kitchens so you trust him,” said Fonseca.
She says they walked through her kitchen together, drew up renderings, and put together a contract for the work but after she gave the man close to $7,000 for a deposit she never saw him again.
Fonseca learned from her bank that the check was deposited to a Hiran Mazaira.

The 59-year-old is listed as the registered owner of the LLC and has multiple arrest records across multiple counties.
Mazaira has multiple businesses all under different company names listed on Sunbiz.
"I don’t want to be disrespectful to Americans but I’m not living in a banana republic, how is it that he does this over and over and over police haven't arrested him," said Fonseca.
The Florida Department of Corrections lists him as a fugitive.
