FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Police are asking for the public's help locating a man investigators believe is connected to a fatal shooting in Fort Pierce.
The Fort Pierce Police Department said detectives are looking for 42-year-old Edwin Ruiz-Avila in connection with a recent shooting death.
Investigators say officers responded to a shooting on South 21st Street, near Georgia Avenue on Sunday night. Upon arrival, two victims were found, a 34-year-old male who was unresponsive with gunshot wounds and a 38-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to his arm.
Police say the 34-year-old victim, Guillermo Barrientos Otero, died from the injuries he sustained in the shooting. The 38-year-old victim was treated and listed in good condition on Monday afternoon.

Police describe Ruiz-Avila is described as a Hispanic male standing between 5-foot-7-inches and 5-foot-9-inches tall and weighing between 140-150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, khaki shorts, white sneakers, a rosary chain, a gold chain with a gold-colored cross and a black watch on his left wrist.
Police are warning the public not to approach Ruiz-Avila, he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
