Here are a few events to kick off the first weekend for Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4.

Boca Helping Hands Pack the Pantry Summer Challenge

The nonprofit Boca Helping Hands is having its first Pack the Pantry event of the summer.

Boca helping hands aims to collect 25,000 lbs. of food during the month of June, July and August in honor of their 25th birthday. The food collection will take place on June 3.

When: Saturday, June 3.

Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Southwest corner of the Town Center Mall parking lot, adjacent to the Greenwise Publix.

Pride on the Block

West Palm Beach is kicking off its Pride on the Block celebration. The event will begin on Friday and end on Saturday. According to Pride on the Block, this is the first year the event will be expanding to two locations, with one taking place at Clematis and at the Square West Palm.

Special guest from Montana Representative Zooey Zephyr and singer/songwriter Ryan Cassata will make an appearance this weekend.

Port St. Lucie Hurricane Expo

The city of Port St. Lucie will be having its annual Hurricane Preparedness Hurricane Expo. The event will take place at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center and will give residents and business owners crucial information about being prepared for a hurricane.

The event is family-friendly and will be open to the public.

Event goers will hear from CBS12's meteorologist Vytas Ried and Michael Ehrenberg, WPTV's meteorologist James Wieland and WPBF's 25 Cris Martinez, Glenn Glazer, Sandra Shaw, Brooke Silverang and Vanessa Vinent.

When: Saturday, June 3.

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: MIDFLORIDA Event Center, 9221 SE Event Center Place

Bark and Brunch

Have Sun fun day with your dog in Boynton Beach at the Bark and Brunch. The event will take place at Compson Place at Renaissance Commons and will feature an abundance of activities.

Activities will include complimentary readings with a pet psychic, pictures with your pet in the photo booth and shopping for "paw-cuterie" boards and dog treats.

When: Sunday, June 4.

Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Compson Place at Renaissance Commons, 1880 N. Congress Avenue.
